The Freedom to Believe
A prominent Midwestern Episcopalian, A\ILBER G. KATZ has become deeply interested in the problem of Church and State in America. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin and of the Harvard Law School, Mr. Katz was admitted to the New York Bar in 1927. He is now Professor of Law at the University of Chicago, where from 1939 to 1950 he made a brilliant record as Dean of the Law School. This article is based on a commencement address delivered at the General Theological Seminary.
