Illia Ponomarenko

Illia Ponomarenko is a former defense and security reporter for the Kyiv Post and a co-founder of the Kyiv Independent. He is the author of I Will Show You How It Was: The Story of Wartime Kyiv, published on May 7 by Bloomsbury. He has covered the war in Ukraine, among other international conflicts, since 2014.
