Amy Wilentz is the author of Farewell, Fred Voodoo: A Letter From Haiti, which won the National Book Critics Circle Award for memoir, and of The Rainy Season: Haiti Since Duvalier. She is a 2020 Guggenheim fellow and teaches journalism at UC Irvine.
